What is AvenueNYC?
The AvenueNYC Revitalization Program is a 3-year grant program administered by the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS). It supports community-based organizations in planning and implementing programs for a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future of local main streets.
We are currently in Year 1 of the program, which is dedicated to conducting a needs assessment of the physical, social, environmental, and economic conditions of East Williamsburg’s commercial corridors.
What is the East Williamsburg Collaborative?
The East Williamsburg Collaborative is a partnership between the Grand St and Graham Ave Business Improvement Districts (BIDs). Both BIDs are local non-profit organizations who have been serving East Williamsburg for 40 years. The AvenueNYC program allowed the two BIDs to formally join efforts to serve the wider neighborhood beyond their respective corridors.
The Collaborative further partners with and is supported by local community organizations and elected officials:
